Why we got independence on the fifteenth of August?

On August 15th, India will mark its 77th Independence Day. India will celebrate its 76th anniversary of independence from British colonial rule in 2023, which is a significant step forward for the country. In India and around the world, Independence Day is celebrated with pomp and circumstance. It’s a really special day; on this day, we have so many emotions in our heads. It’s a reminder of our struggle to liberate ourselves from the British Raj after nearly two centuries, of the sacrifices made by our leaders, of the freedom fighters who gave their lives for independence, and so much more.

A number of leaders have contributed significantly to the Indian freedom struggle, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sarmad Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh Chandra, Shekhar Azad, Subhas Chandra Bose, and a lot more. This independence day is a time of reflection on the many sacrifices and efforts made by our freedom fighters in order for India to be free from the British Empire, as well as why we should celebrate this Independence. This day is also about patriotism, and people’s willingness to serve the country in order to make it prosperous. A sense of unity and duty is created in the citizens as well.

Give me your blood, and I’ll let you go! An Indian can’t get rid of these lines in his mind. One important part of India’s liberty struggle is the holy words spoken by the great Netaji.

The first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, flew his country’s flag across Lahori Gate at the Red Fort in Delhi on August 15, 1947. Since then, all of the prime ministers have complied with that tradition.

People around the world are celebrating Independence Day through cultural activities at schools, colleges, and workplaces, decorating those establishments with tricolor decorations in all manner of colors, watching patriotism movies, singing songs on issues like India’s history or freedom struggle & more.
